• Disadvantages:

• Damage physical health: weak eyesight, wrong gesture => bone problems, sedentary lifestyle (lack of physical activities).

• Affect negatively to mental health: feel isolated, limit offline relationship and face-to-face interaction.

Over the past few years, the impact of children spending more time playing computer games has become a broad issue for the general public because of its potential consequences. Some people believe that this trend has many advantages. However, others think that it could also have some negative effects. In my opinion, its cons could never overshadow its pros. Discussed below are several benefits as well as drawbacks of this issue. In the following essay, I will shed light on both perspectives on this topic.

First and foremost, people should recognize that there are many advantages of children spending more time playing computer games. A very important point to consider is that it can enhance relaxation and entertainment. This means that children can take a break from their academic responsibilities and engage in a fun and engaging activity. To illustrate this point, I would like to mention that gaming allows children to immerse themselves in virtual worlds, challenging themselves and experiencing excitement and adventure. Another interesting point I would like to make is that gaming can foster cognitive development. This is because of the fact that many games require problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and quick decision-making. One example that supports this view is puzzle games that stimulate logical thinking and strategic planning. This clearly demonstrates that spending time playing computer games has a positive impact on children's cognitive abilities.

On the other hand, in addition to the important advantages of this problem, it has some disadvantages. In fact, people have this opinion because of the potential negative effects on physical health. This means that prolonged screen time and sedentary behavior can lead to issues such as weakened eyesight and musculoskeletal problems. This can be shown by the example that children who spend excessive amounts of time gaming may experience eye strain and back pain.

In conclusion, there are two sides to everything, and this situation is not an exception. The increasing trend of children spending more time playing computer games has become a crucial part of our lives. Therefore, efficient use of gaming should be promoted; however, its misuse should be condemned. People should have further consideration on this issue, weighing the benefits against the potential drawbacks and finding a balance that allows children to enjoy the advantages of gaming while also prioritizing their physical and overall well-being.
